Respecting Nation, Religion and Monarch are the traits of good Thai citizens and every Thai person is expected to uphold all these three pillars of the nation. Foreign visitors should know about do’s and don’ts for Nation, Religion and Monarch in Thailand.
           การรักชาติ ศาสนา พระมหากษัตริย์ เป็นคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ที่แสดงออกถึงการเป็นพลเมืองดีของชาติ ธำรงไว้ซึ่งความเป็นชาติ ศรัทธา ยึดมั่นในศาสนา และเคารพเทิดทูนสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์ (m-culture. ออนไลน์. 2557) ชาวต่างชาติควรทราบถึงสิ่งที่ควรทำและไม่ควรทำเกี่ยวกับสถาบันชาติ ศาสนา พระมหากษัตริย์ ดังนี้

Do’s สิ่งที่ควรทำ
           1. Stand up to pay respect to the Nation when hearing Thai national anthem.
           2. Stand up to pay respect to the Monarchy when hearing Thai Royal anthem.
           3. Pay respect to the portraits of all members of the royal family.
           4. Pay respect to the Monarchy
           5. Dress politely in the royal area without sleeveless shirts, shorts and sandals
           6. Enshrine the Buddha statue in the proper position (m-culture. Online. 2014) (doe. Online. n.d.)

           1. ควรยืนตรงเพื่อแสดง ถึงการให้เกียรติและให้ความเคารพต่อสถาบันชาติ เมื่อได้ยินเพลงชาติไทย
           2. ควรยืนตรง เพื่อแสดงความ เคารพต่อสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์ เมื่อได้ยินเพลงสรรเสริญพระบารมี ในโรงมหรสพหรือโรงภาพยนตร์
           3. ควรเคารพพระบรมฉายาลักษณ์ของพระมหากษัตริย์และพระราชวงศ์
           4. การแสดงความเคารพต่อสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์เป็นสิ่งที่พึงปฏิบัติ
           5. ควรแต่งกายสุภาพเรียบร้อย ห้ามมิให้สวมเสื้อไม่มีแขน กางเกงขาสั้น หรือรองเท้าแตะ เมื่อเข้าไปในเขตพระราชฐาน
           6. ควรวางพระพุทธรูปไว้ในที่เหมาะสม โดยปกติชาวไทยนิยมตั้งพระพุทธรูปไว้บนที่สูง (m-culture. ออนไลน์. 2557) (doe. ออนไลน์. มปป.)


Don’ts สิ่งที่ไม่ควรทำ
           1. Do not insults or impolite gestures in regard to the Nation, Religion and Monarchy in Thailand.
           2. The Monarch is highly respected by Thais, foreign visitors should not violate any laws about the Royal family.
           3. Do not give negative comments about the royal family and members as stated in the constitution.
           4. Do not destroy any royal family members’ portraits and statues.
           5. Do not show any disrespect toward the National flag.
           6. Females should not stay close to or touch monks. They should wait for the monks to place any items on the cloth and then take them.
           7. Do not dress in the monk robe or any priests in other religions as it is considered to violate the laws (m-culture. Online. 2014) (Brown. 2013 : 194)

           1. ไม่ควรแสดงกิริยาละเมิดหรือดูหมิ่นสถาบัน เกี่ยวกับชาติ ศาสนา และพระมหากษัตริย์ไทย
           2. สถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์เป็นที่เคารพสักการะ ห้ามทำการละเมิดใด ๆ ไม่ว่าต่อหน้าหรือลับหลังถือเป็นความผิดตามรัฐธรรมนูญ
           3. ไม่ควรวิพากษ์วิจารณ์พระมหากษัตริย์และพระบรมวงศานุวงศ์ มีกฎหมายในประเทศไทยที่ห้ามมิให้มีการวิพากษ์วิจารณ์พระมหากษัตริย์และพระบรมวงศานุวงศ์
           4. ไม่ควรทำลาย หรือสร้างความเสียหายพระบรมฉายาลักษณ์หรือรูปปั้นของพระมหากษัตริย์หรือพระบรมวงศานุวงศ์
           5. ไม่ควรนำธงชาติมากระทำการใดๆที่เป็นการแสดงถึงความเหยียดหยาม เพราะธงชาติถือว่าเป็นของสูง
           6. สตรีไม่ควรอยู่แนบชิดพระสงฆ์หรือมีการสัมผัสใด ๆ หากต้องรับสิ่งของใดจากพระสงฆ์ ควรรอให้พระสงฆ์วางของสิ่งนั้นก่อนแล้วจึงหยิบของสิ่งนั้น
           7. ห้ามแต่งกายและแสดงตนเป็นนักบวชในศาสนาต่าง ๆ โดยมิชอบ เป็นการกระทำที่ผิดกฎหมายอาญา (m-culture. ออนไลน์. 2557) (Brown. 2013 : 194)
